It is twelve year old Stephen Bird’s ambition to become
a pop star.
Set in the 1960’s, Decibels at Dell Farm follows the young musician’s
struggle to become a successful drummer.
After forming his own group, The Decibels, Stephen
and his friends
face ruthless opposition from rival group, Billy’s Beat Boys, led by
the
school bully. The Decibels spend months of preparation for a school
competition to discover potential pop stars of the future, only to have
their hopes dashed.
It seems as if Stephen’s ambitions will never be
fulfilled; that is, unless a community effort, and learning to work
together, can save the day …
