LOST IN FRANCE
by
Gillian Ogilvie
In the Sarthe region of France, during a horrendous
storm, a young
woman had been dumped, battered and bruised, on a farmhouse doorstep.
Her past and her identity are a complete mystery. Did any one wish her harm?
Why had no one searched for her? Where was her family?
Five years on Marie-Anne can only remember the time she has spent with the
Dubuis family. She loves a local farmer and her lack of official papers threatens
to deprive her of the longed for status and security he can offer. Desperately
and urgently she seeks answers to her many questions. But what will such
searches reveal? What will the truth bring with it?
Meantime, in England, another woman has also found the man of her dreams
and a new family...
Each character is happily making plans for their future when a photograph
causes a ripple of events that enmesh all four. Will each of them eventually
emerge from a tangled web of past tragedy and misunderstanding to live happily…?
